Just thought this might be helpful to people with the invader front bumper: Ya know that aluminum reinforcement that runs behind the front end? Well I hated how I could still see it behind the bumper. So I took off the bumper, sanded the aluminum a little, wiped it down with a cleaner, and sprayed it with a spraycan of black self-etching primer. It's still there but it looks a whole lot better now. Ya might wanna try it.

Ha, I had to cut mine in the middle to fit the FMIC...so my bar is there but useless. Hell, if I wreck, it'll do worse than if it wasn't there.

I painted mine black a while ago too. You could see through the vent and see it, so I painted it black.

You've got to paint it black or it looks really ugly. Flat black would look the best so you can't even see it

I used a self-etching primer too. A regular spraycan black will probably hold up fine. But aluminum is known to shed (i use it a lot at work) it's surface over time. So using a primer that etches into the metal first and then painting over it is probably the best way.
