As the topic says my GT4 got hit on the driver's side today while parked. Some old guy try to reverse and park next to me and hit the driver's door and fender. Fortunately, he left me a note with his details and his insurance will cover it. I need some good words from you guys. First time i got hit in my life (all the 10+ years i own a car) and i feel a bit violated.

Only one plus. since i have some connections i will probably overestimate the damage and get some cash to go for my wheels fund and also i get to repair the small damage i had on my fender for free. wink.gif

Well dont feel too violated - He left you a note. Try this in America. Chances are he go to the other side to even out the damage and then leave. Just go to any reputable shop and have them quote damage. Then go to the shop that you are buddies with and have them do it for cheaper or order aftermarket parts instead of OEM. You'll make out fine if he admitted complete fault - in which he did with the note. Good luck.

Thats really not true....I got hit in June by somebody in a parking lot, and they were really nice about it and was fair by not going through insurance and giving me a check for repairs out of pocket.....and just like Neoklis, she hit my drivers side which was already dented up by the previous owner so it all worked out. biggrin.gif

Also, my dads old truck got hit awhile back, and the woman left her information under his wiper, so saying theres a 99.9999% chance they would take off....thats not totally true. It just depends, because some people suck, and others dont.

i think it just depends on what kind of area your from. if your in a poor area, then no, you prolly wont get a note...they dont have the money, and bigger cities, cuz they wont get caught, but small towns...you always get note it seems like.

Here in Utah people will open their doors into nice cars just for spite... Bastards took a chunk out of my new blue paint yesterday... Maybe I'll have to start parking like the Vette guys... Out in BFE where nobody wants to park. Good luck with the repairs man, my mods were all paid for by insurance.
