So I finally got the 19x8 wheels on my car. I got the 19x8 with maxis lip in the rear. My car has a 2" drop all around.

There is NO rubbing anywhere and so far it does not bottom out...it rides without any problems

check the rims here http://www.axiswheels.com/mod.html

Wheres my BS flag!

Sorry Ricky, I dont doubt that you have 19's, but I only have a TEIN drop (1.5" front, 1.0" rear) and I have bad rubbing in the rear. Unless you already cut and re-welded your quarter panel lips that is.

If you did, please email pictures as I will need to do this before the Celica hits the road again. smile.gif

19 x 8 I got, whats the tire size and offset for the rims you got?

If you have a inside offset (40+) , maybe you wouldn't have to cut the lip?

Hum, I'll put my flag away for now - lol smile.gif

I'm running on 19 x 8.5 with a 35 offset. It looks like a Supra! But until I re-weld that back lip, she sits her ass end on the tires on every launch and turn.

Why would somebody lie about something that simple? I don't think nobody would bother to write simple BS like that. smile.gif

Ok dude, I think that you need to put your flag away permanently...

NO I did not shave the panel lips at all. I will take pictures of it during the week and post them.
And yes my car has a 2 inch drop.

The rims are 19x8 not 8.5 !!! Maybe that extra 0.5 inch is what is causing your rub.

I need to find out how to post pictures here.. I am a member of the Suzuki GSX-R (www.gixxer.com) and they make it so simple to post pictures...

Hey now, I mean no offense and actually rebuted myself throughout my reply. I'm interested in seeing your drop. I couldn't do it with mine, but as I said, many other factors play into this.

I know you have 19x8, whats the offset and tire size?

I'm not one to unjustly call a BS, its just I've only known 2 others besides me who've put 19's on a Celica. All of us needed rolled fenders, thus i'm interested in seeing the stats. Also, alot of people say they have 19's when they dont, thus the use of pictures.

For pictures Ricky, I use Photobucket.com. Its fairly simple. Just copy the [/img] link into your reply.

Ok here is the info on the tires... 225/35/ZR19 TOYO Proxes. The offset I will get for you.. Im not 100% sure but I believe they are 35.

I will get pictures during the week... I can only tell you that it looks off the chain..

About the BS flag... I was not offended at all... its all good it adds fun to the forum.

I do however need to correct myself.. I used Drop Zone springs for my drop and it is 1.5 all around not 2 like I stated. I was told by the installer that it was 2 but I called Drop Zone and asked is actually 1.5.

chack them out at www.dropzonesuspension.com they are local (Miami) which is very convenient for me.

I will check photobucket..

AHHHH, I see now.

See now the stats seems to match up. 225 in the back is much smaller than 245. But even 225 is still large compared to stock (I think 205 if I remember right). With a 1.5" drop that makes sense. You probably still have a inner offset compared to mine. I was told it was a 38 and found out its a 35. Not bad, but boy do they stick out. I kindof like it now. I NEED PICTURES RICKY, NEEEEEEED THEM. Welcome to Club-19.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Thank you for the welcoming...

Mine do not stick out at all... and the lip is 3-4 inches wide depending how you measure it... wink.gif

I know, I know, I know.. PICTURES !!!

ONE PICTURE IS WORHT A 1000 WORDS... rolleyes.gif

I promise you that I will have the pictures very soon... biggrin.gif

The only reason why I have not posted pictures is because they provided me with the incorrect hub for the rear rims and I will get the correct ones today. The rims looks bad ass but the center is still open...
I will pick them up today and then I will take pictures once ma'bitch (my car wink.gif ) gets a shower (cleaned), make up done ( Armor all & wax) & is ready to pose for the camera biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
