way to utilize the MR2 aftermarket! smile.gif KO is an EXCELLENT company, though them and ATS seem to bicker back and fourth at who puts out the better product, you cant go wrong with either of them.

to answer a few questions, yea, his MR2 BPV is recirced, which that unit MUST be recirced because the way it works. it not only opens to vent off pressure build up between the turbine and throttlebody, but it also is open during vac to allow air to bypass the turbo and into the engine, allowing for a more steady idle and increased airflow in vac. hence "bypass valve". if it is not recirced, unmetered air will enter into the engine at idle and slowly cause the car to lean out to a stall.

and the street brawler kit has only made in the 400s as far as horsepower at the wheels, but never-the-less it is a sweet kit that was put togeather to be a cost effective way to get a ton of potential out of the MR2 and the 3sgte motor itself.

my 4 favorite places to get MR2/3sgte parts at: TwosRus, Torquefreaks/horsepowerfreaks, ATS, and KO... you cant go wrong with any of them for the 3sgte.

your car looks great and its nice to see you enjoying everything you went through to get it there! is there any plans for a FMIC, hood scoop, or WAIC??

Yeah I want to stay sleeper style so the techs that helped with my swap are gonna do an st185 style scoop on my hood... I'm in the c-one hood GB so i dont really care if they screw it up. They are good with fiberglass though so I'm pretty confident that it will look awesome... for some reason I just love the low profile look of the 5th gen gt4 hood. After that all I'll need are some ST emblems and I'll be set! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

constider a fmic, because even with the hood scoop, the stock intercooler sucks. it sits right ontop of a hot engine and does nothing but heatsoak that IC at idle. if you dont want a fmic, then maby look around for the st205 cooler.

You know you can always trade me brakes too...then you can really have the ST look. tongue.gif

Seriously though, I wanna see that car sooo badly! Have you broken it in and been able to take it past 4,000 yet? What's the redline on that engine?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Damn! Looks like I'm going 5th Gen junkyard diving then! haha... thanks for all the comments guys. I think the 3s redline is 7k. I just recently got to sit in a straight up 5th gen right hand drive JDM Alltrac and the tach said 7k even. I must say... sitting on the right side is something else!

I'm gald you had a succesful swap, mang. smile.gif

Even with my weenie 7A-FTE at 3-5 PSI, I felt a BIG warm sensation in my heart the first time it boosted. It just threw me back in my seat and torque steer took over, haha. And it's an auto...so it felt soooo weird. Just the sound of that T3/T04B sucking air like a hungry slut continuosly...no BOV sound until I released the pedal. biggrin.gif

supersprynt is right, 7200, and as previously suggested, if you are going to stay with the TMIC id go for the ST205 WAIC, or a custom one.
