Thanks Ghost and fastgt...Its amazing how awsome it feels to dream for so long about getting a 3s, and then after putting so much work into it, finally getting to reap the rewards!
J- I've been driving it since sunday...haha I've put 400miles on it already. It runs like an absolute champ... It was basically overhauled (seals, gaskets, cleaned up, etc) before it was put in so its definately healthy =) I almost cried the first time I hit boost... its a feeling you would never expect to come from a celica. I havnt taken it over 4k rpms yet (but even up to that point it definately puts you in your place:D) just to be sure everything is working strongly... a few more miles and I'll get to fully feel what she's made of! Yeah that is the OEM MR2 BPV... It sounds pretty awsome... it sounds more like a star wars laser gun than a blow off valve...haha I love it. It is actaully pretty noticable because if you look in the picture it is recirculating directly into the AFM... which means it is right by the filter. I'll get some sound clips up soon...haha seriously you'll be amazed at what it sounds like.
Coomer... get your ass down here and lets go for a cruise... bring Natalie too cause I missed out on your guys' meet that was here a month or so ago... now that my car is working we should do that again! I STILL HAVNT SEEN THE 4A! |

finally!!!! great work and great pics man. i was really worried about you for a while there.
most of the peole here dont know this, but doge and i got our clips from the same seller. doge actually saw mine and his clip in person and had to flip a coin to figure out what one to buy cause they were bowth is great shape. he sarted his swap a few weeks before me, but didnt finish till now, thats why i was worried that something went wrong. doge, send me all the swap pics you got. i want to see everything! -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Hahaha... yeah me and Lagos are brothers now... I was in a whole heap of sh*t until I got my car to that shop though. Without them I dont know what I would have done. They explained as well as showed me everything there is to know about this engine...I can confidentally say I know the 3s inside and out now..haha... which is a great feeling if anything does happen to go wrong. I'm loving every minute of it. To bad we are across the country from eachother lagos... oh well... I guess we represent both coasts

Do you have it recirculating it or do you have it open atmosphere? If u have it Open making it a BOV and not the stock BPV, make sure you get a small filter for the open side since it sucks in air when not blowing it out. But Congrats, what kinda DP is that? -------------------- |

If you look at the picture you can see it goes right into the afm... directly after the flapper valve... so all metered air stays inside the system
They are based in portland and I just happend to be driving by Torque Freaks (its really close to the shop that my car was swapped at) and stopped in to find them dynoing a 2 with the street brawler 50 trim... 450 HP!!!!
