didnt edo end up with high compression ? like 11:1 or something after his build

Im not sure but isnt high compression bad for a turbo set-up???

also cant you lower compression by getting a bigger head gasket?

you want like 8.5:1 or 8.0:1 for turbo cars i've heard that if you get a bigger head gasket it can be bad or good i've heard both

as far as i remember, you can get full copper head gaskets that are made thicker to lower compression.. also looking around for some pistons, i thought the 4ag's work fine?? also, does any one know the bore/size of the 7a-fe???

sweet, I was woundering, caue i found an hks piston and pin set for cheap... but that seems even better cause it has everything.. but then again your also looking to have to buy a fmi witch would be another $250 + the turbo and manifold, witch would be another $1000 at least, im not sure if thats worth ..the power coing out of it..

Also where is that kit from??

http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/pek-geo.html

so say 1500 in turbo parts 1000 total engine rebuild kit. and a shock engine (internal) can handle up to 170-180 wheel horse and about 190-200 wheel torque after the rebuild say coated pistons etc i think it could hit the 240 whp and 260 wtp at say 12- 14 psi just a guess

i guess time and money for me limited b/c of school...yeah the 3sgte swap would be feasible, but i guess in my case i'd just build my 7a....enough to at least smoke some showoff civics in my area...lol...then drop a turbo, was thinking a t3/t4 so at least id get some juice in both ends...how about supercharging the 7afe??hhmmm....thanks for all the replies by the way

ok so your saying 170-180 hp.. for stock internals, then why is your turbo set only dynoing at 130hp an 160trq ??? but i guess thats also to the wheels..

Also how much power do you think a stock trany could handle , including egtting a performance clutch..

when i dynod my car it was at 5.5 psi i'm running it at 8 psi now i havent had a chance to dyno it at that psi yet

the tranny i'm not sure as for clutchs i have an oem that is hold ok but slipping im going to buy a dual friction clutch 80% clamping over stock

here is zipstrips dyno graph http://www.6gc.net/photo.php?file=/images/...hotos/87_23.jpg

160 horse and 170 torque to the wheels psi ??
i bought his turbo, manifold, and intercooler piping
i think i'm about 165-170 horse and 170-185 torque at 8psi (a guess)
