Okay so the the GT's tranny officially sucks. I got the driver side half-shaft out of the tranny but the other side is being a pain in my ass. Does anybody have anything they can tell on how to get this dang thing out? I have the hub all taken apart and the shaft is out of that end but I can't get the one side out of the tranny. I unbolted the bracket holding the center shaft to the block but I can't get it out. Does anybody know if I am supposed to take the center shaft and the outer shaft apart? It seems that if I do that I will have to get new axles.

HELP PLEASE

drain the tranny of oil.... then you want to pop the axels out by prying something in there and maby using a hammer. the idea is to sort of pop them out. it takes a few tries, but youll get it.

I tried prying it out of there but it won't come out. This thing is so stuck in the differential that its not even funny. I am going to try and pry the center apart and see if I can get it out that way. Thanks for the fast reply Lagos. Again any help is appreciated.

I used a big fork, and it took quite the effort...you did take all the bolts outta it right?

Well... I finally got it out. After the three bolts that were holding the center mount to the block were removed we found that there were two studs that were going through the mount as well. My friend Chris had an epiphony and decided to use a combination of tools to turn the mount around, after that it slid right out. Now if I can get the bolts out of the tranny mounts I will be set. Thank you for the help and if any one has any ideas on how to get these bolts out without breaking my wrists that would be great.
