everything dude. everyyything. but just now it was like 250 pounds after i weighed it just now. the other weight redution was losing panels on the undercarige, light weight headers, light weight rotors, and removing the intake i put a long piece of pvc to the front right high beam, springs were lighter to. lighter wheels.... everything bro...

400lbs isnt all that much.. granted I am also wondering what all you took out but if you know how to lighten a car you can trim a alot of exess off it.... hell gutting the interior will get you alot of weight off. and seeing as how his celica is an AutoX car hes prolly only got one.. or maybe two seats left in it

to answer everyone. why i do this cause i need better handling, and trust me it helps. toyota made alot of heavy stuff in there cars. it took about 3 hours for the interior. and the rest was over time. im gonna wiegh it at the track but we will see. power to weight ratio is awesome now. i mean its an st (slow tech) so yea it helps.
but look at the pics i know there not clear but you can kind of see. |

generally you Could say 400lbs is 30 usable hp. (as in hp to weight) So, in one frame of thought the car has about 120 hp at the wheels now. I don't think he was Really able to cut 400lbs, but hey, brake out the torch and then we'll talk!

i need a better camera. but when i posted i left my webpage its my yahoo photo binder thing. i mean like i said the interior is about 250 pounds. i just drove it wow it was a different beast. the rest of the weight reduction was bs parts that toyota put on there for fun i guess. like the whole intake system even the resivor (inside the fender) i took all that out that was a good amount of weight. an exact list would take to long but i can start it if you really want it. i got basiaclly a 6gc sitting in my apartment it kinda sucks but oh well. and andesen yes in a stright line you prolly could take me but im down for some curves if you are .

As long as you pass emissions, didn't cut the firewall, and didn't take out any other safety features (airbags, seatbelts) there shouldn't be any major problem...but that's just off the top of my head so don't trust my word. |
