Advice needed., Pix welcomed Options

Im not sure if i want to do this, but im planing on getting rims.

I have a white 95 hatch 6gc and thus fell that white rims would be nice or perhaps a darker gun metal type rims. I also know that i want 5 spokes. HOWEVER the only reason y i would waste money on rims is not for looks but rather for lighter rims. Thus im looking for something about 16" as anything larger ive seen is heavier. Plus i want to keep a gt4 wrc looking and not to flashy

So this is the rim requierments im looking for:
5 spoke, somehting wrc gt4 looking
16" or very light (and strong)
white or darker color with no polished lip

my favorite wrc looking rims are the oz chrono evolutions. dunno if you can still buy them tho.

Is there a name for the ones that are on the gt4 wrc celica's both the 5 and 6 spoke ones ive seen and or the ones that seem to be solid disc with holes drilled in them.

Oh and do they make the oz ones in white ive only seem to find them in silver

but cant go wrong with Rays Volk Gramlights

They are 5 spoke, Very Strong, And Light (can come powder white with no polish lip). Volks motto "often imitated, never duplicated"

i own em and i love em. i have only one picture in my profile for now. tried to get good pics of them on cars....but i couldnt find them so these will have to do.

When I think of light weight japanese wheels Volk/Rays Engineering is the first company that comes to mind.

I agree with CelicaTEK, go for the Gram Lights 57C for the classic white 5 spoke jdm/rally look: click here

also im not really looking for the super low pro look that 18s would give. Therefore im between 17's and 16's as rim sizes. I do plan on keeping the stock tire height or something close to that. Im also thinking about droping the car on some sportlines (afer rims and tires). Ive looked at the user pix on this sight but would like input on the diffrence the ride from 16's and 17's on sportlines.

Last but not least how wide should i go. I was thinking 7" as i assume the wider i go the heavier the rim gets. N e one have stats (doing a search myself)

for handling and best performance don't go larger than 16" anything bigger will hurt you

yes with 16's you can have low profiles but its a bigger circumfrance which takes longer to accel with smaller wheels = faster accel but less top speed....larger wheels = slower accel but lager top speed ( note these differences might be very minute)

i have stock 5 spoke gt rims i know i could probably find the number but does anyone know weight of them?

Perhaps if there isnt much accleration/performance gain from getting diffrent rims ill just stick with my stock ones after (if i can) paint them white.

Im asking theses questions because i need new tires on car but would rather spend money wraping new rims then my old ones and then again if and when i get new rims.
