do you mean the bottom of the downpipe that connects to the 5sfe cat is different?

no thats the midpipe, the exhaust manifold is what comes off the engine, and connects to the DP, and then to the midpipe, and the the rest of the exhaust. It wont bolt up because the 3s has a turbo, It will physically bolt up to the midpipe but it doesnt matter.

If you have a 3s manifold of course the 3s DP will bolt up, I didnt kno you had a 3s manifold.

The 3sgte DP will bolt up to the mid pipe (flex pipe) on the 5s, although they are different diamters (unless you go custom).

I think we confused the hell outta eachother, but I would think that if you had all the 3s pieces the cat, elbow and dp would bolt up to the manifold and it should bolt up to the exhaust but I think the shape of the DP will effect it also.

ya your right i knew that it would all bolt up to each other but what i was wondering if i could use the 3s downpipe just the downpipe and no 3s cat that if it were possible to use the 5sfe cat in conjunction with the 3s downpipe just the elbow part.
