Well, I have about 83k miles on the celi now and im pretty sure the auto transmission is going out... Every time from a dead stop i give it a little gas to go, its real jerky and revs a bit before actually getting in gear to go... plus when going into reverse and park, it takes its time to get into gear and im afraid something bad will happen soon...

So you guys think i should get a new transmission? Or even try to go manual? Ive always wanted to... but i know its a huge project... orrrr you guys can just call me stupid and laugh because it isnt a transmission problem tongue.gif (im very mechanicly inclined rolleyes.gif )

Thanks!

Have you owned the car for it's 83k miles? If your the single owner & been taking good car of the car mechanically then nothing to worry about, if any previous owners, & you never got the car checked out, maybe its a good time, although it doesn't sound like the car has a problem, well none that I can think of but if you got the cash for it do a manual swap if that's what you want cause you might be saying this to give you an excuse to do the swap. j/k tongue.gif (plus the swap isn't too hard, how to is on the site)

edit: aint see a how-to...weird.

That sounds like a torque converter problem. Those are a bitch to change and if you screw up you are ****ed. I would say go manual tranny swap but if it is easier for you just get the torque converter changed. The torque converter has to switch between locked and unlocked so that it can let you go and also so it can sit there when not accelerating (sort of like neutral in a manual tranny). If it is not letting you go immediately and is not shifting from reverse into drive smoothly I can almost guarantee its the torque converter. Click Here for more information.
