well are there ne major differences between the 5th and 6th gen short blocks?

thinking there prolly isnt much difference but want to make sure.. im thinkin about picking up a Rebuilt shortblock for my 5sfte project and maybe using the 3sgte intake manifold on it as well as the 3sgte exhaust/turbo. Was wondering if they changed ne major things for internals between the two gens and if so what and will the exhaust manifold still bolt up like on the 6th gen?

Pretty sure there identical or almost identical just want some comfirmation of it.

Thanks

I think the water jackets may be a tad different but I am pretty the blocks are the same with all the mounting hardware.

well the waterjackets wouldnt matter cuz I would use the 5th gen head and block biggrin.gif

still debating on weither or not to get one... had my car in the shop for 7 hours today getting inspected.. not too much wrong but my underdrive pully is shot... gonna try ripping the one off my old 5sfe tonight and put that on... hopefully its just that and not a crank related prob... otherwise if it is im gonna go the 5th gen reman route
