Oh no...not another one. Look man, if you're asking that question, it means you're not ready for the project. You don't need an FMU if you're using an S-AFC, regulator and bigger injectors. FMU is for stock pump and injectors. Take it this way: the 7A-FE in my opinion is very fragile and has no tolerance for errors or f@ck-ups. You do a mistake...it breaks. I've spent over $6,000 on just turbo stuff...and the engine broke. I made a lot of mistakes. I'll start with another engine. Anyway, look, search for 7A-FTE on this forums...lot's of info. Also, I wrote a topic with a lot of obstacles you'll encounter...other 7A-FTErs chimed in also...you have so much info there you'll piss on your pants, hehe.

hah ya i don't plan on doing the work my self, having a local preformace shop do it, they do swaps and turbo/superchager set ups all the time, they also work on very high hp cars all the time so i know they know their stuff. i'm just trying to get a parts list together so i can just start buying stuff slowly, but ya i'll search smile.gif.

You should do it yourself, because it's simple, then have them check over your stuff. You'll save money. smile.gif

Installing everything, it took me from 12 midnight until 4 in the morning with my buddy helping me.The only thing that was installed already was the AFPR and the braided lines on the fuel rail.

man u really actually discouraged me, I planed on doing it anyway, but u made it sound like no matter what it was going to blow up my engine, i was like wtf smile.gif.

but what was the reflector plate in the exhaust or something, u mentioned it in one of your other posts, u didn't have it in and u ended up melting a piston, something like that? I've never heard of that part, so I’m actually glad I searched the fourms and found it and found it.

no one has answered my question yet, i've been searching around alot, is that a good parts list to start buying stuff off of? Also alot of people seem to use the t3 turbo, and seem to be getting good numbers. But why wouldn't anyone use the ct26, the one in the gt4?

t3 has a faster spool, most people use the ct26 when theyre turboing the 5sfe so they can use the 3sgte exaust manifold.

What sort of 0-60, hp, and quarter mile times can one expect with an intercooled 7A-FTE?

id imagine youd break into the 14's pretty easy at somewhere around 8psi and a nice setup.

Man, I told you to search because in the thread about how much money we've spent, I list everything there that is needed. Or in my profile, I have there everything. tongue.gif
