Coupes look better, have less bodykits, have a lower weight I think?More stiffness of chassy, and it has a real trunk instead of a place you can lay out and watch the stars tongue.gif

I'm not too sure if coupes look better than hatches, but thats just my own opinion. Hatch rears are a lot better looking than coupe/convert.

How can you not love that?! Not to mention that after looking at the stars, you can then make some X's ;D

The look is all preference... I was just putting that in there because otherwise i knew a hatch owner would beat me to saying it this site is highly hatch biased tongue.gif .

Completely didnt help this guy saying hatchs are better looking and providing a picture with a car that doesnt show the back of it, the only different.

Coupe has an actual trunk, and causes the rear end to be completely different, like Coomers yellow car above.

The hatch has a hatch, where the rear glass and trunk are all one, the cars all open on the inside. Heres a better picture thanks to Jaws4God user posted image

Taste my friends.. taste.
Everything is in the eye of the BEER holder...

The hatch...i Had 2 of those, an 88 & 89 all trac.

The conv... I had 4, 87, 93, 98 & my current one a 99. COnvertibles are by far better looking and a lot more fun than the coupe and hatchs.

ohh, back to the question.. the hatchback is a hatchback and the coupe is a coupe. biggrin.gif

Only if you compare oranges to oranges...

I had a system on a convertible, which I still have and will install on my current conv, and I was killing everybody in sound quality. Notice that I said sound quality and not SPL.

I dont like the Verts to much, just not fan of the ragtop. I feel that way about ALL verts tho not just Celis.

Also, the Hatchs are louder because the hatch is all open and you have it bouncing off the glass, where the coupe has a trunk and its seperate from the cabin.

The ability of the hatch to open up and create lots of room has been very useful to me for carrying large things. Plus, there is a lot more room in a hatch with the seats down than in a coupe's back seat...And that can come in quite useful...if you know what i mean smile.gif

I really don't like coupe or convertible rear ends...they really really tick me off. For me, is like it's not a Celica...don't know why? tongue.gif

Most people in this site are hatch owners therefore they will like their car better than the other models. I like them all but I prefer the convertible.. it is just way more fun than the others. biggrin.gif

Whats better blue or green? Whatever you answer, it doesn't matter because other people have different opinions. Unlike other "debates" (e.g. whats better an Apexi or K & N intake?) the positive and negatives of each style are VERY apparent and largely amount to personal preference.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
