Sorry, I know somebody had posted this topic before.... (cos there is too many topics about transmission and i was lazy to search it one by one)hehehe
I'm new and i want to know if i swap my 7AFE to 3SGTE, can i use back my 7AFE transmission??? or i can just change my clutch (i mean change a high performance clutch)....or any suggestion??? Do i need to convert my rear drum brakes to disc???or that's ok for the 3SGTE Engine??? one more thing.....it's "tranny" is "transmission" short form??? (sorry...some people like to use the short form for some words.....and some time i have a hard time to figure out what's the short form mean.....hehehe ) again.....i'm new in the forum and not really know about car...... if i ask too much stupid questions....please forgive me........ You will need a tranny from a 5sfe, or you can also use the tranny from a V6 camry. as far as the clutch goes, i'm not sure... but why would you want to use the clutch from a 7afe tranny with the 3sgte? if you have a 3sgte, why not go all out and get a high performance clutch?
