both

It might not be.. Mine did that, after 65 mph, It shook real bad in the steering hweel an shook the car, and pulled left. Later when I pulled off my tire , I relized I swaped the front two when i painted them, I swaped back, got a new tire and got it balanced, it fixed it, I can go 115 an not shake or nothing, and it goes stright..

has this happened the whole life of the car?? its your alignment and most likely the speed rating of your tires. my car used to shake like crazy, but then i found out the tires were only good for 110 mph. i got some ones that are good for 140 and no more shaking. as for your steering wheel pulling is it like a real sharp pull or just gradual?? hope that helps.

first have all your tires balance and see if the tread is all close (meaning taking a tread depth reading across the tire to see if you have uneven wear) while they have it up in the air have them check the bearings by wiggling the tire. If that does not solve it move on to an alignment. wink.gif

the tires are pretty new, so the tread shouldnt be too much of an issue. and no this hasnt happened the whole life of the car, ive only noticed it say about a month. im going to have the balance checked on the tires on wednesday.

Prior to spending any money on rebalancing, I would closely inspect all the tires for defects. I have had tire bulges that cause similar shaking. If so, its silly to spend money getting the other tires rebalanced.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

im not spending any money... my stepfather has a garage at his house with all the equipment so as long as nothing needs to be bought, i can get it all done for free...
