ok i know a good deal about all that but just a few questions
and nik why did you direct your turbo so the intake side was facing the left? wouldn't it be better if the intake side faced right, so that the intercooler piping would run directly down and then across and up to the TB? instead of down acrossed to the IC then back across through the IC then up to the TB?

the greddy e-management, piggy back right?
and the greddy profec E-01 what does that do?

EDIT: Also on TURBO specs. what is good?

Garret T3 turbo, internal wastegate, 50 trim, 0.48 a/r???

i ran that way due to room. the turbo would have to be mounted differently to pipe it to the other side. there really isnt much IC piping pre-intercooler, maybe 6 to 12inches before the cooler.

E-manage - piggy back ECU with better oportunities on Injector duty control, ignition map control real time data loging and etc. Try to search goooooogle biggrin.gif

Profec E01 is boost controler (adtional piece to E-manage for monitoring everything instead of using PC), so it controls boost and add's some options to emanage.

The trim you named is good. But the T3/T4 combo is better.

your list looks good a t3 i think is the best size for our motor but the t3t4 is also good once you have gotten all your stuff just look at the walk through if you get stuck not every little detail is on there just e-mail me or the others that i named early with questions like zipstrips , 97sccelica doggy etc

lol i have 30 $ in my pocket and a 85$ parking ticket to pay so i'm just starting and doing LOTS O RESEARCH and i'm relying on you mostly and some of the others (oobe, zip, ect..) to carry me through this since this is my first BIG engine project. i'm expecting to have the parts by end of summer...and turboed my next xmas(05') so i'm in my baby stages and learning As much as possible first

but i think the solid T3 non hybrid is my choice
and the E-01 is that in echange for the Turboxs standard boost controller?
or can i keep that and add it on? or can you referance me to a simplier CHEAPer alternative to the E-01? cause i don't need sumthing that extensive

i started with just a turboxs mbc which works great and 12:1 fmu vortech thats all you need for a basic set up. Now i'm moving on to the greddy profec E-01 which is a new super multi-tasker is the PRofec e-01 designed as a combination boost-controller, data display / logger and e-manage programmer. The e-01 can provide superior boost response, increased boost, warning meter functions, 3 channel data-logging and access to all the programming features provided with the latest e-manage support tool. Even when used as a boost controller only, the e-01 has features to smooth out the boost curve. With both an auto and manual setting for both external and actuator style wastegates, the new PRofec can alter its new compact, high capacity solenoid valve via various RPM ranges. The large LCD screen with green electro-luminescent backlighting is easy to see. Other standard features include two preset boost levels, a timed over-take boost and compatibility with our Remote Switching System. The data display can view 3 different data channels simultaneously such as boost, RPM or any other channel inputted by the e-manage. The data can be logged up for 3 hours on an SD card while also giving warning set points and peak and hold values. There is also a non-PRofec e-01 version that is only used for e-manage programming and datalogging. (Some features require optional harness to be accessed.)

Sorry no SN frown.gif . On top of the MBC is a hex screw right inside the blue housing it should be tightened (turned all the way to the right ) all the way down 0 psi unscrew it (left) 3 times (about 3-4 psi) make a run see what your boosting in 3rd gear then adjust from there. On the FMU i would go with the 10:1 my 12:1 is way rich. For the oil lines look on ebay or jgstool feed line 3 feet is good same with the drain line 3 feet.

your probably looking at one of the corolla kits the t25 is ok its a small turbo i would do the ballbearing t28 much better what site are you ordering from? Also are you getting a kit or are they selling you just the manifold? The reason i ask is that it is alot cheaper to peice your kit together.

Instead of a Spearco buy one an IC from http://www.johnnyracecar.com/, they are good quality cost about 150 to 200 and they fit nicely in the bumper. My friend has one on his Turbod Teg.
Spearco Intercooler
29” x 6” x 3” = 325$ ebay
Garret T3 turbo
50 trim, 0.48 A/R internal waste gate = 359$ - turbocalculator.com
TurboXS standard boost controller = 79$ - turbocalculator.com
FMU
Vortech 10:1 FMU = 31$ - 99$ ebay
Turbo BOV
Turbo XS = 96$ ebay
Walbro pump
Supra 7mgte = 85-95$ ebay
Manifold
Custom 200$ maybe?
Boost guage – 50$
EGT gauge – 50$
Apexi safc II – 325$ anywhere

Also am I going to require a SAFC II? would a used one work? and Im looking at using a ct26 instead of a t3 so maybe my costs will be a bit lower.

IMO i wouldn't skimp on the major (turbo, manifold, intercooler) items. Buy good stuff new if possible as shid said in a post you dont need a 1500 intercooler that flows next to perfection 200-300 will do the trick the intercooler you mentioned i got one of his 5" tall ones and it works fine.

On the SAFC 2 or 1 if your tight on money just the fmu will control your fuel need the safc will just fine tune it i say go with the fmu for now then upgrade later.
On the turbo issue i think you can find the t3 at the some or cheaper than the ct-26 but remeber if your getting a turbo on ebay be careful.

yea my T3 is coming from turbocalculator.com cause thats the cheapest i've found so far, the manifold i will have a pro shop up here make for me, and the intercooler i think i'm getting that jonnyracecar.com 6"

oh and the FMU can run on its own with out the SAFC I with no problems so i can skip the SAFCI for now and get it later on with out running into boost issues

yeah but with teh 7a you are mostly gaining massive amounts of torque over hp.

so im looking at teh turbocalculator refurbished t3 which is the one they sell. With a 10:1 FMU and no SafcII.

with that I will not have any issues and my motor should hopefully be fine?

daniel let me know where your getting your manifold made at?
