Ok, sence it seems that every one is starting these custom boxs, I figured I would take a try an do it. I started doing the custom mold for the rear side, in the wheel cubby. It turned out pretty nice( im not finished yet) but It seems for the spac i needed it had to be biger then i was hoping. Sop I might not keep it and im looking for some more ideas, I have two 12" rockfords, that need an ok amount of air room. I also made an amp rack ( in the pic) so my amp will be mounted on that wil two neons on each side, that I will wire up to the hatch light so it turns on when i open it up. and then I will have the wiring and cap mounted behind that, so I can get to it by moving the seats forward. In the pic I laid my subs what I was thinking might be a cool space to mount them, in the wheel well. I know I could have searched for every ones own design, but Im looking just for some feedback/ some more ideas. I was also thinking about doing the molds in teh rear sides ( one on each side, and then just taking some wood and bring it stright back and mount the subs to that. Lemme know Il take any feedback, thanks guys/gals.

That idea is good but what happens if you ever need your spare tire then you would be F@$!ed.

personaly I'd opt for the spare tire and make two custom boxes for the subs one on each side. possibly make it replace the stock trim. plus you'd have more usable cargo space since the subs aren't in the floor.

The was one thing I was leaning towards because Its still my everyday car and wont be a show car. Like it would be nice to be able to still use the back hatch part with it looking nice, and the thing about the spare, it is a smart idea to keep it in, but seeing as how I always forget to put my jack back in, I think I would be screwed anyways, . maybe il through it back in when i get home.

Any other ideas?

how bad? like does it seem like the fiberglass flexing, also how many layers did you do?? I think im gunnna stop making it look perfect amnd make sure it works.. cause im spending way to much time bondoing and sanding so its perfect.

It sounds great, theres one air leak in the back side where I made the termile.. but nothin that some caulk wont fix. other wise, I sounds louder then my orig box. Im trying to decied if I should paint it flat or gloss black, lemme know what ya think..

Looking pretty nice. I think satin or semi gloss black would look best and match relatively well.
P.S. Are those the HE2s or the HX2s?

There the HE2's And even one on 1/4 power, is way to loud .. On my old dodge, It knocked off the rearview mirror every week, and shatered the back window, along with taking the striping off, and cracking the paint on the back hatch.. and made the exhaust fall off.. but that was when I liked loud very loud base .. and I was always setting off alarms.
