yes I am finally finished with it! I put it on at 3am last night and I love it. Its got a loud growl along with the suck noise. Here's a pic:
It took me an my friend about 2 weeks to get the parts and put it together and then another (roughly) 2 weeks to polish the hell out of it. But its here now and i love it! -Brandon I want to thank everyone who answered my questions and helped me along the way. Thanks Guys, 6GC rules! -------------------- |

I like the way you routed it. What parts did you use. Were the tubes from other intakes or custom made.
Id like one lol |

ok here are a few more pics, My CAI is contructed of polish mandrel bent piping which can be bought at JCwhitney.com its basicly a 90degree bend off the manifold then a rubber connecter then a 40degree bend connected to another 90 then a straight pipe, then the filter I used the rubber boots so that I could twist and bend the pipes to which ever shape I needed. If you guys want to make one you can add me to your AIM (superdollarstud) and I will help you guys as much as I can.
I am going to cut out around this filter and make a scoop to get more air to it. -Brandon -------------------- |

oo yeh and also I had to relocate the cruise control module thing... real high tech huh, I moved it to where the old air box was sitting and I actually turned that plastic cover piece upside down and drilled 2 holes in it and used to secure the cruise control thing down, until I can bend and fabricate a piece to fit in there.
sorry about the picture size. -Brandon -------------------- |

Are you not worried about it taking a drink if you hit a puddle?
Nice work though! Can you please post pictures of the cruise control box and the wire route? |

with the cruise control I got lucky, the sensor that plugs into it reached just far enough to plug in again, and the cable that sets the cruise works just fine being bent at the angle its at (between 45 and 90).I was able to bolt it right into the bolt holes that held the stock air box, I even used the bolts that where in it. Like I said before if anyone is interested in making one of these I'll give you a walk through and help you along the way, just drop me a PM or IM me on AIM. thanks for all your comments, -Brandon and my car still sits at stock level soo I really dont worry about getting hydro locked, I will take it out and install a sponge kit when I lower my car. -------------------- |
