I been contemplating the purchase of a body kit for a while now but a lot of them require the replacement or modification of the bumper reinforcement. Can some Celica guru create a list with the body kits with this information? Im thinking something like
list of the ones without bumper reinforcement changes
list with reinforcement removal
list with reinforcement modification wink.gif

1.well the 404 lip kits have no removal because the obvious reason there only lips.
2. The invader style only needs small notches cut out in the kit its self which can't even be seen.
3. Kombat, C-one need removal.

thats very dissapointing, what type of crash bar do they have on Japanese celicas? none?
and seeing how all those kits you named have rip offs made in the U.S , the U S compaines that make rip offs should have modified them to work with the U.S crash bar.

I just ordered the varis arising 2 kit st202.203, they said it would take 8 to 12 weeks to arrive. They have to make it and ship it from Japan. Next spring we will find out if it really fits. There's no way I'm removing or cutting the crash bar, I'm kinda suspecting that I will have some sort of trouble with how deep the air scoop might be. I might be SOL.

what ya think? possible problems with the signal lights too? or does it look like it sticks out longer than the stock bumper leaving space for the US spec crash bar and foam absorber?

It is truely sad that that there are not many options for us. Such a nice car deserves a variety of body kits that does not require the removal of such important part. mad.gif
