Okay, I'm looking to replace the factory stereo in my 99GT and before I went and bought a wiring harness I wanted to make sure the connections were right by looking at the plug configuration. So after much aggravation I FINALLY got to the factory amp and pulled out the wiring harness to see what the plug looks like. The problem is that I've seen a wiring harness for Toyotas 1987-up and it looks NOTHING like the wiring harness I pulled out of the factory amp. Does anyone know if there is a harness that fits my connection? By the way, here's a description of the plug pin alignment. The top row: group of 2, group of 2, plug tab, group of 2, 1 pin. Bottom row: group of 2, group of 6, 1 pin. Thanks for any help!

Are you looking at the blue or white plugs. You need the white ones. They are a little hard to get at. And yes all celicas from 87 up are the same harness.

I'm looking at the white plug. There are only 2 plugs that I see, the one that comes from the stereo that plugs into the amp and a larger one that plugs into the other end of the amp. The last one is the one( I assume) that is the factory wiring that I need to connect a new head unit to. And yes, it was a challenge to get to this plug.

What was the harness for to begin with?
This way there are alternatives to strictly toyota celica wiring harnesses.
