I went ahead and started to remove the front brake rotors, but there's a big nut holding it on. Does anyone know what size that nut is, so I can go to the autostore and buy the socket..

Is that the axle nut you are talking about? I think its 32mm... Im not positive though let someone else confirm. And if you dont have one, i suggest getting a breaker bar too. That nut is a bitch to get off.

the big nut is 32mm, but do not take it off. That is the axle nut, you don't need to remove it to get your rotors off. Just take the calipers off and pull. You might have to convince it with a hammer. Just smack it a couple time to loosen the rust.

i dunno if this was said but umm. you dont need to remove anything but the wheel. if there stuck go to auto zone and get a claw puller thing to pry it off(i forget the name of the tool). i had to on mine.
