LOL my head uniit turns off my clock stops working and as i stop at a light my car is hesitant to move...so i start driving and i can hear my car about to die so i pull over to the side as if im turning left...my car stops...its 11:45 and i have a test at 1 and UMCP is like 15 min away i have no ride... so i end up calling my friend he coems thsi other guy jumps the lil bit of batttery life left so i could shift to neutral ( damnn automatic and autolock LOL) then we push it accros big ass main road (university blvd) i park in a neightborhood,...luckly the womon in front of the hosue i parked was cool about me leaving my car there heheh she was hispanic smile.gif so now my friend gives me a ride to schol i get there at 12:55 LOL just made it for my nutriction test. so then i go buy the battery lol luckly like this guy i met at advance auto was cool and he hooked me up wiht a 500amp batttery for 40 with new brackets and bracket cleaner (suppossed to be $75)..so iinstall my battery and it works but the battery light is still on ...hmm wut could it be LOL the alternator DAMNNNNIT LOL i was soo pissed so i call up advance auto and teh guy said he could hook me up for $80 !!!!!!!!!! lol i had called up another advance auto and it was $130 plus 75 for the core fee...so now i have hook ups for parts heheh smile.gif but anywasy so i go to my friend house and we install it in the dark LOL now its running well wiht new battery remanucatured distributor and alternator..its been a bytch ...on a bad note when i tred to close my hood wiht the new battery it didnt close and it made like a small dent so im kinda pissed abotu that frown.gif

If its their fault, yeah they should fix it. But gaskets tend to go out and they might play that card so be prepared to argue.

Muahahhaha. I bought a 1100 amp (1000 cold cranking) battery from Fleet Farm (98% of you dont know what that store is except probably us upper northwest people biggrin.gif )(Kinda like a smaller WalMart specializing in Farm, Automotive and Sporting Goods) Cost 70 bucks and comes with a 72 month warranty but my car starts up like a raped ape and I cant get my 1500 watt class AB amplifier to draw enough amperage to dim my lights smile.gif

I had a problem with the battery mounting kit that I bought that put a nice ding in my hood. At first I thought it was the old batterys negative terminal that was hitting, but I looked more closely, and I had to hacksaw off about a good inch and a half of the most forward threaded L bolt. Worked like a charm....just wish I would have paid more attention before I closed the hood.

wow that is a really funny story. i hope you get all that repaired. i had a 98 camaro with endless problems... learning new problems after one is fixed...that's why i got rid of it for the reliability of the toyotas...so far, i don't have any probs with my 94 celica gt. but i need to get my cat replaced to pass smog but i hate that stock one that's like 4 inches away from the manifold.

too bad we don't have any headers that we can just pick up off ebay.
