spark plugs wire go bad Options

i was goin cazy...didnt know what was wrong with my car changed the fuel filter,spark plugs,my starter went bad after so many times trying to start it......then i put new spark plug wire and the car started right up.....but if i was in gear and at idel it would want to die on me........so ill give it some gas...after 4 day of not haveing my car...didnt care about the ilde sh*t.....all i cared about that it was running now...but still can understand about all 4 spark pulgs wire goin bad at the same time.......................now it dosent want to start...i was in my car with the a/c on for like 20min when i saw that my temp was just alittle higher then normal......i turned my a/c and put down my windows...didnt want to turn my car off because the pulgs that gos to the starter is is broken so when i turn my car on i have to hold it in and tell someone to turn th key.........well im there looking at the temp its still alittle high(but not over heating) and then the car turns off and dosent want to turn back on........

have you done anything to your car lately ie. new header or gaskets? or did you recently get new wires before they went bad the first time?

I am going crazy. I don't know what was wrong with my car. I changed the fuel filter,spark plugs, and starter. The starter went bad after the many failed attemps at starting it. After I installed new spark plug wires the car started right up.

The problem I have now is when I am in gear; the idel would be inconsistant and would want to stall. The only way I kept it runing was to keep my foot on the gas pedel. After four day of it not running, I have given up on this problem and continue to drive with the bad idel. I am still confused how all four spark plug wires went bad at the same time. Again now my car will not start. Earlier I was driving the car for 20 minutes with the A/C on and I noticed the temperature gauge a little above normal, but not to the point where it was over heating. So i turned off the A/c with the engine still runing and it stayed at this temperature. ( I did not want to turn off the car because there is something wrong with the plug that leads to the starter. Inorder for me to start the car agian i would need to hold the plug in while someone else turns the ignition key. ) After i turned the car off it did not start up again..

now my question:

1) does the starter turn the engine over after?
2) what year is your celica? do you have the obd 1 system?
3) is your timing off?
4) any cel lights?
5) is your battery dead?
