well have you ever seen a super street drag car? i wanted a large drag type tire but still have a 17" tall rim instead of a 10" tall rim that you mount drag slicks on and for my project wll i donno the specifics yet but i need some way to get the power to the ground and detemine the width of the rear end (thats why offset doesnt matter) and all other what not soo yea its just starting point but i figured they have a rim out there somewhere cause they make 335/35/R17 tires and thanks for the fast reply

They have wheels that sized for a reason... a reason you apparently have none of. First off... those cars (350Z, Supra, M3) can wear those big wheels in the rear because they're RWD. Those wheels only need to clear the rear 1/4 to work properly and wider wheels mean more traction surface... but in a FWD car... say putting 17x10 in the fronts, is not gonna work, unless you plan on not having the car turn. Hell... I don't even think it'll fit the rear... If you're doing it for the "look" value... well, that's your own taste... Some people like big chrome spinning wheels... but I guess so long as they feel "cool"...

lol you can tell a 12,13,14 inch wide rim wont fit anywhere near a celica unless you have tubbed wheel wells and whats tubbed wheel wells w/o a massive amount of rubber to hook up with?? i wanted to see what info and offsets i could find to see if i could find a rear end to fit and what cutting would have to be done to see if my "little" project is feasable or not lol and thanks i understand what your trying to say but theres alot of mods going on here and not just the rims lol although i could see a celi running around with huge rims with 8 inches of rubber hanging out cause you cant clear the struts lol

mm these threads make me laugh. WONT PEOPLE JUST GIVE UP ON THE GOD DAMN IDEA OF A RWD CELICA.

its not safe, not reliable and your looking at a car that is going to look completly retarded with 14in wide tires. And your tires are going to cost a rack of money if you havent figured that one out yet. Plus ur rims which u 'plan' on buying for a supra cost around 3gs so u better be ready to drop alot of cash, since those supra rims wont match up since they are 5x115

A 17" wheel thats 14" wide is a rediculous thought. First of all, I really highly doubt they make street tires that wide and small of diameter, and drag slicks arent for street use so thats out of the picture.

Also, the offset would have to be HUGE to work on a car like a celica, and then you'd have the profile of a steamroller going down the street. Unless steamroller is the look youre going for...in which case you'll achieve it. biggrin.gif

If you want lots of grip and some wide meat in the wheel wells, get a 17x8 or 17x8.5 and lower it with some good coilovers like Tein or Tanabe. But I don't really understand why such a wide wheel....like Kwanza said, its kinda pointless and better results can be achieved with much better methods.
