hey, thanks to OREO i believe we came aware to the ALL carbonfiber hatch for the supra. well i talked to the guy personally via IM and asked about a celica one.
he said "i am open to anything new" and is willing to work with us on this. He is willing to create a 100% carbonfiber rear hatch for the 94-99 toyota celica HATCHBACK....no coupes or verts....sorry you want that you need to contact them lol.....but if you are interested please reply as i told him i'd try and get a list going. he is currently backed up right now but i told him i was just doin some information recon. the ruff weight is 9lbs(the supra was) you can hold it with your pinky finger.... they have NO ruff cuts its all smooth and VERY WELL constructed please check out the link for the supra as a referance to the product.... they sell the supra for 880$ so expect a relativitly good sticker price on this...maybe we can get him to do better if i get a good sized group in on this http://cianciperformance.com/exterior/hatch/supra/ This post has been edited by playr158: Sep 9, 2004 - 5:04 PM |

I do have a question. What about the glass? How hard would it be to transfer the glass from our hatch to the new cf one? Or does it come with the glass? From the pics, it looks as if it doesn't.

it shouldnt be very hard, but if you are going with a cf hatch then you would probably get something lighter than your stock glass. like say plexiglass? is that lighter? lol umm... what else.... clear plastic like from plastic bags.... lol just kidding...

There's a guy on the MR2 boards that lays CF and he would also take on this job. If someone talks to him you might get a better price.
