Ive been sanding forever and i cant seem to get my body kit looking perfect.
i dont wanna be like one of those people where u see all the spaces in the kit. ive been molding my hood scoop on for ever. i cant seem to get it looking right,

i used the fiberglass white paper stuff at first, then i went over it with fiberglass resin, the green stuff. and well the resin is hard as hell to sand.

and advice for me and my bodywork....

yea thats where i screwed up. i should have used bondo then glazed over it, but stupidly i didnt. i did straight glazing then fiberglass resin. i think im gonna trie to get a high power sander, or something. i have 2 electric that i bought and they sort of stink, i got more accomplished with my arm power today.

Cured fiberglass resin is soooo hard to sand, even with power tools. I'd definitely recommend using some good body filler(Rage Gold comes to mind...awesome stuff.) smile.gif

Rage Gold? never heared of it... Explain...

I guess ill just kill my arms trieing to sand what i got, then ill use body filler over it. the problem at first was, i used Bondo filler, and it cracked after a month, this stuff has not cracked one bit. but i guess if i use body filler, sand it, then go over it with a light coat of glaze, it will work alot easier...

Rage Gold is like Bondo, except it sands a whole lot easier. smile.gif
