alright, a friend of mine drives a 1997 Acura CL and is looking for a new system. He doesn't necessarily want to replace his radio, but he may have to for the easier install. Now his question, because he's running a bose stock stereo system right now, is, can 2 ohm stock bose speakers run on a 4 ohm aftermarket radio w/o blowing??? Like would it be okay, or would he have to replace his speakers when he gets the new cd player???

I think that would be very bad for most CD players. Maybe look up stuff on Honda-Tech.com and see what those CL guys do about it.

your friend will be better off replacing the stock cd player and speakers. many reasons. Bose isnt that good for one. and two replacing the stock cd player and speakers will give him better sound imaging. actually he should look into component sets. cd players to look at are Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse, and Pioneer Premier(only Premier series). speakers/component sets to look at are CDT, MB Quart, Focal, Rainbow, Infinity.
