........ dunno what they are for, but they are nice when I put it in the garage so I don't clip them.

That's exactly what they're for. In Japan space is limited, so garages, and streets for that matter, are are lot tighter than the wide open spaces you have there in the US.

lol, what irony

in the wide open spaces of the US we get the crap weak F series engines, and in japan where they have to have bleedin folding mirrorst to park, they get 190+ hp engines.

how sad.

There is a reason behind it.
Well two really, gas and miles.

Here in the UK our gas (petrol) is 95 to 98 RON, and Japan has up to 100. Your lower octane stuff means the engines have to be significantly detuned. And because everywhere in America is so spread out, you expect your engines to do a lot more miles than we do. We think of 100,000 miles as being high mileage. This is why Toyota fit a larger capacity lower stressed unit for the US.

So do both turn in at the same time or separate? (i'm thinking together)

It would be cool if you could wire it up so that when you gun it they fold back,
AREODYNAMICS BABY! WOOOOOOOO!

They both move at the same time.
