Hiya!

I bought the 8 speaker doors from Brian Forster when he parted out his car. Very nice. The 7th and 8th speakers next to the handle are 4"ers. Not a problem. Problem is.... How can I mount these new speakers to my door frame. Can someone with the 8 speaker setup take a couple photos so I can see. Otherwise, you mad modders out there can come up with a easy DIY that I can do in replacement to not having the brackets. Any help is great.

thats just it. Mine dont have it.

Basically my car came with the 6 speaker set up. Meaning, I've got the 8" hole on the bottom of my door and the tweeter by the mirrors. I bought new door panels from Brian. His are the 8 speaker setup. These panels got the 8" hole on the bottom, tweeter by the mirrors, and a 4" hole by the handle. GREAT. Its gonna look sweet. However.... Since my car didn't come with the 8 speaker setup, the 4" holes are worthless unless I can mount some speakers behind there. I was hoping that someone with the 8 speaker setup can take a picture of the door frame without the panel on so I can see the mount in which these 4" speakers attach. Otherwise, I'm pretty good with my hands and can make some mounts, but just need some ideas. Its that better?

If Brian was parting out the car, see if you can get his stock 4" speakers too. Although the stock ones arent too great, the stock speakers and their mounts are all one piece, so I used the metal mounts to fit in brand new Kicker components.

Although be warned, mounting the speakers took alot of patience and time, and mine took some fabrication to make the magnets fit by cutting out a chunk of door to accept the magnet of the speaker. Also, since your Celica came with the 6 speaker setup im not sure if you're doors will have the bolt-anchors and wires to power the speakers without using your headunit for power.

But my advice would be that regardless of your plans to build a speaker setup, get the stock speakers as a starting point, or be prepared to do alot of test fitting and have a pain in the ass on your hands.
