First off, the worst your going to get is a ticket in the mail, then just go to court. Second off, they cant expect you to just pull over by them pointing at you. I have three friends and my ex-g/fs aunt was a cop, an they said a cop could do that, but they cant really expect people to pull over. And thats why i never make eye contact, or look at the cop cars to long. biggrin.gif

Yes pulling over on a major highway for any reason is a big risk, especially if its busy. But I agree just say you didn't see her do it, like super said, ignorance isn't a good defence since your required as a citizen to know all the rules and regulations, not that everyone does anyway.

I dont think its a big deal, if you get a ticket, fight it, if you were some how evading arrest im sure you'd have heard something by now.

i know that is entrapment, but if he said he didn't know it was a cop, and the cop started flying past him, like they did...and then he could race, until he could see the lights tongue.gif

I'm pretty sure (at least in CA) you can only be charged with evasion if you don't pull over to both lights and sirens. Disobeying a lawful order and the ticket itself are still possibilities though.

We could all put 65 mph governors on our cars and never have to worry about it.

You'd still be speeding and possibly driving reckless, someone flying by you isn't an excuse to break the law, and isnt entrapment if that person is a police officer.

Actually if I hadn't looked at the cop, she probably would've gotten back behind me and put her lights on, in which case I would've HAD to pull over.

I'll be sure to let you guys know if I get a ticket. If I don't post, then that means I didn't get one wink.gif

HAHA, I remember when i took my old dodge daytona to TN, there was a road that was 85mph, an my car waa strugling trying to keep up with other, but they were also going 105 or more.. iv noticed that sence iv been driving slower, iv seen more cops, and like il slow down, an right ahead theres a cop.. its wierd.. but yeah speeds only fun when your going a little faster on windy roads, and have it under control.

TELL THE TRUTH, you saw her do something then pull in frunt of you and pull the other guy over, you did not understand what was going on, and though you where going the speedlimit, etc.

Any judge would rather hear the truth about it than bs, but i really doubt your gana get a ticket.

If you get a ticket in the mail, just go to court and say " I thought she was waving at me as she was driving by".What's the judge gonna say? "Our officers are not that friendly". biggrin.gif

Tell him "besides I just glanced her way I did'nt stare, I am suppose to keep my eyes on the road ahead for safety reasons". That should get you off the hook.

I would not recommend being a smart ass, it will not work.
