i dont care what you guys think of it or if you diss be because of it, i just want some help. i wired up a blue neon that i pulled out of my cabinets to my trunk light, but i dont know where to put it. i tried mounting it to the bottom of the trunk panel, but it didnt stick (have NO idea why). that tape sticks like glue to anything. any other suggestions on how to mount it there without screws or any other mounting locations. i want the neon to be over the subs to lighten them up if possible.

Just to help on the rice factor:
Number 1 rule of Neon: you cant see it If you can see the neon tube, its worthless. I'll build an enclosure for the subs and incorporate the neon in there. Good luck. -Ti |

Yeah, there's no hidden place for neons on our trunk- you have to customize it first.
If you don't care about it being seen.. then you can put it whereever (for the record, both Ti and I have neons in our car) As far as using tape- there are other ways. Try putting a wood or coardboard backing behind the area where you want to mount the neon (through the felt trim panel) and then screw it in. Oooo now I want neons in my trunk |

the neons look pretty damn good imo because they reflect off my silver eclipse door speaker amp and my silver infinity subs. anyway, how would i mount the cardboard? the tape sticks fine to the light, but not to the felt trunk panel. do you think if i got a razor blade and shaved off the felt on the underside it would stick? i dont see why it wouldnt stick but give me some input.

Haha. I like neons. I need new OPTX tubes...I wish i could find them online. One of my under-dash ones fizzled out. I think it's because tehy are on all the time because of the way I have it setup with my radar detector.

Ryan, get redline- soooo much brighter; it's crazy! and you can run them off our old OPTX controller
Rocky- the felt paneling comes off. Put the board behind the paneling then screw the neons through the paneling into the board. Holds like glue- tape is for amateurs |

the bottom of the shelf isnt really felt. there is just some lenty **** on the bottom of it. im thinking if i shave it off it will stick. i only have 1 neon cause its been sitting in my shelves for about 3 yrs and i dont want to buy another one. it will look stupid with 1 neon on one side. if my idea doesnt work, can you think of any others?
