Well I started again on my swap and found out that my igniter is bad. I found out cause my brother just bought a MR2 turbo and we put my igniter in his car and it would not fire so I said hey maybe if we put the MR2 igniter into my car it might fire. Well no it did not fire so I thought that the wiring was still messed up. Later we put the igniter back in the MR2 and it did want to fire so I think some how I blew up the igniter .Does anybody knows how much one of those cost?
P.S. The wiring is pissing me off. Does anybody know the part # for a ST205 wire harness? |

New igniters are expensive...I paid $75 for a used one from a 4Runner for my swap.

Did the 4Runner had a V6 engine and what other models can I use?

Yes it did...for you and your 3S-GTE, I'm not sure what igniter you can use. I'm running the AE101 4A-GE. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Oh yeah, Lagos brings up a really good point that's sometimes overlooked. The ignitor is grounded when it's bolted to the car's (unpainted) chassis.

Yeah I just let it hang but I can't figure out what blew the igniter. I probably had a wires that were not suppose to touch, but I'm just guessing.

thats why the car is not starting, there is probably nothing wrong with your igniter.
just bolt the igniter back to where it was on the car and plug it in. the mr2 should fire back up like normal. make sure you grount the coil too. the only thing you dont have to ground is the resistor packs. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Alright I'll try that Monday hopefully that works. I guess I need to throw my clip away since I don't need it no more and since the cops were harrassing us saying our house was a chop-chop.
