Hello everyone!

I just got a nice 1999 Celica GT Convertable. It has the 8 speaker stereo with the double DIN sized deck with CD/ Tape/ Radio.

Couple questions:

1. What are the specs on the deck and speakers? Is this the same Deck that I think was in other 1995-1999 Toyotas that ran about 120 watts?

2. Does this deck have CD Changer controls?

3. Anyone been able to find a way to add an AUX input to the back of this deck in order to run an IPOD/ MP3?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

1. There's no way it pumps that many watts unless that's max power

2. I believe some models do?

3. only if it has CD changer plugin- otherwise there'd be no way to add this.

Long story short, go with an aftermarket HU if you intend to do anything

1. Your car comes with 2 amps but both are weak. Bypass them with a 4 channel amp if you wish to keep the stock head unit.

2. It does if you have the tape and CD double din.
