Your poll doesn't make much sense...but the Prelude and Celica will be reliable. The '95-'99 Eclipses(of which, the turbo models will be faster than both other cars) are unreliable.

look at it this way. if you want to go fast and mod like crazy it will make any car unreliable.

but id go with the celica for the handling prelude for the looks and eclipse for the speed but thats just my .02

id have to go with celi for handle and looks and eclipse for speed, the prelude is just trash, but it would b a second pick for speed...=D

This is my take from a pretty fair perspective....but form your own opinions.

--94-99 Celica = Great handling, good functionality and layout on interior, very reliable, rare and classy. Slowest of the three. rolleyes.gif

--92-96 Prelude = High revving and quick, very reliable, prone to rust if not carefuly watched and taken care of, and overpriced. Kinda bland appearance stock, IMHO. (97+ model looks a bit more refined and classy to me.)

--94-99 Eclipse = Very common, more reliability issues than a Prelude or Celica will usually have and uses second-rate materials inside and out, turbo models are fast and handling is respectable with lots of upgrades available....sporty look, but carries a feminine stigma among many. wink.gif

sorry to say but the prelude has got better handling than our celicas do. my friend has a ha22a in his prelude and it just womps on everything on the road. and they look good with just a lip kit.

94-99 Celica= CAR

92-96 Prelude= Something with 4 wheels but not car ( No chassis, poor handling),the only good point its the engine,i am talking of course about the H22 (VTEC).I used to own one, high modified.

94-99 Eclipse= Good looking car wink.gif

Celica's got handling on both of the other cars- the chassis on the eclipse is like toothpicks- and thats coming from someone with a convertible.

The prelude has got pretty good engine potential- but non VTEC engines aren't that hot- or that fast at all.

dsm is **** after 50k miles..crankshaft bearnings go out..or start to..

our celicas....prob the most underated tuner car...amazing once hooked up..check out DG Performace for a good example

the preludes..only the h22 is good..good looking car

if u got the cash..get a dsm and fix it, they have the great potential i think

however you u want something no ones got, get the celica

and if u want a nice everyday driver , slightyl moded get the lude

Both the Eclipse and the Prelude are pretty heavy cars (~3000 pounds) so they wouldn't be able to handle to as high of a degree as the Celica in stockish form. USDM Celicas however are underpowered and won't be able to hang with a turbo Eclipse and/or an H22A Prelude. IMO, the Preludes are pretty good handling cars... every bit as good as a Celica... but again, the weight issue gives the Celica a very small edge. As for the Eclipse... I'm just not very fond of any gen of the Eclipse because every one I've driven (almost every single model) has been a disappointment for me. I'd give the Celica the edge over the Eclipse in every way with exception to the Turbo models.

I'd say go prelude or celi. If you get a prelude, get the 97+ model. They are hot, have great handling, and come with good power. But yeah, they tend to rust around the wheel wells and sunroof, if they have one.
