Today I worked 12 and a 1/2 hours, from 9am to 9:30 pm. straight, sept for a 30 min lunch a cupple of short breaks. my team of 6 including me bagged and tagged (took apart, and marked for moving) 200+ computers, tomarrow we have to install them all in there new location (in the same building just differant places) it will be anouther long shift, but I cant complain since its the holiday season and I could always use some extra cash.

Anyway, what is the longest shift you have had, how was it, and what did you have to do that took so long.

edit: for got to mention, it was all on 4 hours of sleep. and since i have to be there at 8 tomarrow (today actualy since its 1am) I will not have much more then that tonight.

Almost 36 hours here.

I work for a supermarket. We had a huge storm hit town (wind and snow) and the area where my store is at has crappy power lines. We lost power for 2 days. I had to wrap anything (case, display, isle) in whge plastic wrap to keep the cold in. We had 18 wheelers droping off dry ice to the stores by the ton. In the end almost everything went bad. It was actually alot of fun cause we closed the store down....That and I got $22 an hour for the time I was there wink.gif .

ive never worked more than 10 hours retail. But once i did work 20 hours when i worked in the Air Force research lab. But that wasnt bad at all because i bascially ran three tests that took 6 hours each. I would just set it up, let it run for 6 hours while i went and slept, surfed the net, or watched Invader Zim episodes this other guy downloaded on his comp.

The longest I've worked was from 6:00AM to 8:00PM with an hour break for lunch. So 13 hours of actual work.
