I've read that urethane is very durable, but that it's difficult to paint and is also prone to warping if it's heated or left in the sun for too long (not sure if this is true). But on the other hand, I don't want fiberglass which would chip very easily. What should I do?!? confused.gif

quite honestly I don't know where you would get a urethane kit from, unless you import from Japan. but, if given the choice I would probably choose urethane because I occasionally have to drive in some pretty bad conditions. to each his own though.

you dont really have a choice, to get a urethane kit is going to be over 3K, fiberglass is pretty durable stuff as well, and is real easy to fix if it does break.

I heard fiberglass isn't all that bad. What is the Zephyr kit made out of?

What part of NJ are you from again?

Zephyr kit is made of fiberglass, as are all the other commonly available 6G kits in the US.

and to answer your second question, I'm in central NJ. however I go to school in northwest NY which means I see a lot of inclement weather over the course of the year.

I was under the impression that poly-urethane would be way better than fiberglass.
