I sold an dead laptop on ebay, and they guy was happy with it (probibly did not help at all) I plan on buying a IBM T40 off ebay in a few months, I would just be very carefull and make sure the seller knows what there talking about, also dells are generaly good computers you will probibly have good luck with then, but IBM's are good too. depending on what you want.

I bought one from Dell - and it was used but tis from Dell so they check it out. What happens is that big businesses have these and then they trade them in or something and Dell re-sells them. I'll look up the name of the seller company.
Dell Financial Services

thanks for the link man, but thats more then i want to pay. i don't need anything with all the bells and whistles. just a bare laptop that i can use for the car.

i found a used dell on ebay for $200, just doesn't have the operations software.
my friend said he could get the software for me.

it might not work either, that's a good way for the guy to have an excuse. "I didn't realize the hard drive was destroyed. After all, there was no running sofware on it."

You get what you pay for.

I really wanna get a lp top for illustrating. I find being cooped up in my room destroys my willingness to work on something for 5-10 hours at a time.

Let us know how the laptop turns out, might be something Ill look into down the road.
