So i should use a high output alt and isolator. Does anyone know if their is a high output alt for our cars. Ive also seen some bolt on setups for a second alt but i know they probably dont have that for the celi.

Oh and Scarrell Im not running all the same size because i really only planed on running 2 10 W7 but then came accross the 12 w7 for free so I figured i would throw that in for som over the top base. FYI this car is not my daily driver this year (showcar)

cool cool, ummmm http://www.mralternator.com/alternators/toyota.html , they dont list the Celica but they have a pic of one at the top tongue.gif so, try calling them and asking. try some shops around town and.. maybe Jegs or Summit. im sure they have some. but i do KNOW there are highout put alts for Celica's of all years. but anyway i just dont want your car to really mess up with all that current being pulled, the reason i say you definately need a highout put alt is well because you are running alot of things and for them W7's to perform well you need quite a bit of power to them. and im assuming they will have that power, also i know where you can get a 10" W7 for cheap, just needs reconed and that only costs $155 from JL.

Heh ignorance and crap eh? If your HELL BENT on doing dual batteries make sure you purchase both batteries at the same time and are of the same make. Make sure to take all proper measurements needed to insure that they are as similar as possible. otherwise they'll leech off eachother and just drain eachother out repeatedly. I'd suggest just getting a gel type battery (more reliable and require no maintenance) and upgrading your electrical system (it would be a wise idea anyways incase of any shorting that may or may not occur. Be wise and most of all be safe.

stinger makes a high output alt. for the 5s, don't know the amperage. It's pretty though if your putting it in a show car, chrome plated and all that. It's like $200 though. Don't know of any that make them for a 7a.

Are you missing the part where they mentioned using an isolator? Because you sound like a dumbass right now. This is done all the time with high output sound systems and high wattage HAM Radios.

You need a second battery to run everything else you have put in your car, like stereo, neons, TV, playstation. My lights don't flicker at all when my stereo is all the way up.

yeah.. yeah.. yeah..

Hmm, I've got all that, as well as a laptop computer, an SNES, an NES.

From time to time I turn all of that off and run mutliple 400W Tungston lights off my car.

and I don't need a second battery. Why do you?

How long does that work with your car off and do you ever worry about not being able to start your car. Granted, it'll take a while to run down the batterey but if you're at a show that stuff could be going all day.

We knew it was an issue and so we had jumper cables ready; but I ran 4 200W lights for 5 hours once and didn't need a jump- she started up fine.

The only cars I've seen that run power at shows are plugged in- and personally I wouldn't run power at shows unless I was plugged in.

I want them so I don't have to have jumper cables in my car. I am always showing my car off on friday and saturday nights, and when the cops come and kick us out I don't want to be like "wait officer I need to get a jump it will just take a second." I have a red top and a yellow top so I never worry about not being able to start my car tongue.gif
