My new seats have arrived but the frames havent so youll have to see them in my house instead of the car tongue.gif
Cobra Misano's with aluminium reinforced carbon fibre shells, each seat is over 22kg - about 50lbs - lighter than the stock seat smile.gif
What do you guys think?

On the custom fit seat rails they sit a few inches higher than stock probably due to the tired 12 year old seats sagging a bit, not a problem on the street but on track with my helmet on its a bit tight.
Comfort levels are better than stock also as the support stops me getting an ache in my back on long trips and driving fast on the twisties is a dream when your held front and centre.
I had to use the rear seat belt buckles mounted to one of the seat bolts due to the old buckles being attached to the stock seat frame (harness' will be fitted to the drivers seat for track days)

I got small change from £1000, not sure what the exchange rate is so probably about $1650 inc seat runners.
The leather option is nice but too heavy for my needs.

Another instance of us here in the UK getting shafted time and time again, along with the $8 for a gallon of fuel smile.gif

Stock seats are about 35kg, these weigh 13kg - 22kg lighter than a stock seat smile.gif so 44kg saving overall.

but how comforable are they?

i would assume there is less cushion in racing seats making them unbearable on long trips.

I havent done any long trips yet but have to say I was surprised as to how much cushion there was on the base and the fact they hold you rather than just support you makes them feel really quite comfortable. At the end of the day they were chosen for their support on track rather than their comfort levels.

And you guys lay off my house! laugh.gif
