thanks for the info guys. thought about the turbo kit, but a buddy of mine said that there not all that reliable and that they need more attention than a swap

it's gonna be more than that if you want a clip and depending if your gonna pay someone else to do it. it all factors in.

Actually, clips require a lot more work. While the 5sfe engine might not be made for boost, it can handle small amounts with little attention (just make sure you have oil) a 3sgte swap needs a ton of tuning and attention before it runs right.

Welcome! i see you are true to your name...

Ive seen people on the boards do the swap for around $3000 or properly for $5000+

You should look around and see which people did the swap, what they did and PM them about the total cost.

Turbo is a good route as well, depending on your power and overall goals for your car. There are some great stickies at the top of the Engine/Performance section with tons about turboing and the 3s swap. Check them out! they are a good read...

it's true i am lazy but i love my car.
let me give you some info about me.
i was born in chicago lived there till i was 11 and moved to greece, but with me came a 94 celica. My problem is that i can't find any parts for my celica here and i have to order them from the U.S.so i need more money and more time and research than you guys,
so thats why i seem to have this "lack of energy"
don't get me wrong, but thank you all for the advise

What makes you want a 3S-GTE? What are your goals for the car?

Your gonna get all different answers about cost

i believe if you want it done right - to the point you are pretty much guranteed it wont break in a month or two then ur look at somewhere over 6 g's <--JMO!!!!

but if you wanna do it the umm cheaper route with some problems down the line then yeah ur looking at under 5 g's im sure!
