So who's having O's over the new PSP?? For anyone who doesn't know its sony's new handheld with basically ps2 graphics. I thought it was pretty neat, then found out that gt4 is coming out for it, so I might have to get it! Depends what the price is going to be.

Theres some screen shots of the psp with gt4!

It has wireless multiplayer capabilities, Im not sure of anything beyond that though.

One thing that will really sell me on it is if it can be hooked up to a tv via s-video or any other method for that matter, we have a big screen down stairs so it would be bad ass if I could go down and plug it in there when ever.

i heard that the estimated 10 hour battery life was grossly falsified and sony admitted that using all psp's features such as wireless multiplayer and the high graphics as a normal user would, the battery life goes down to about 2.5 hours.

it has wifi. its capable of updating its software from any wireless connection. but what if you could use that wifi capability to say play gt4 (which incidentaly won't be multiplayer) in a cafe against someone halfway across the world

where did you read that? The only thing I heard was about thm being sold out. Im not buying one right away so its not going to be a rushed model like im sure the launch ones are.

I was looking at the DS which honestly I'd wrather have because Im a born and rased Nintendo kid but it just doesnt look that great compared to PSP, I guess we'll see once both are out for a while. I just know I want something aside from the computer to play with. Consoles haven't done anything for me in a while so I might aswell try a hand held, I still have my game gear and that thing rocks.

So for the PSP are the graphics like...PS2...or PS1? Or what? I'm confused there.

Edit: Does it play DVD's? If it did, I would be sold hard.

Its very close to the ps2, I would have thought ps1 style graphics would be good but they out did themselves.

Just look at those gt4 pics in the link I posted above, they look almost like the ps2 version.

Aparently when you video out into a large tv some visualartifacts show up but I guess its nothing any normal person would care about, only the anal nerds.....like me tongue.gif

Theres some more pics for ya:

I cant think of how it would play dvd's, it uses the mini disks like a game cube I believe. I was thinking the same thing though, maybe there will be some way like an addon later.

Thats cool then, hopefully they aren't to expensive.

I usuallly like to let a system be out for a while before I buy it, see what games become available, make sure it lives up to the hype, and see what the popularity is so I dont buy it and they stop making games for it within a year. From the looks of it though this thing is gonna be big.
