i was going to vaccuum my car so i put the top down. when it was going down it caught a little bit which it sometimes does. usually i just pull it back up then back down, but i kind of forced it down, and it shattered. i badly need advice on what to do. i am not looking for the cheapest way out, i'd rather go the quicker way.

please please give me some advice.

My back window catches sometimes too- it's common when u haven't removed the plastic thing it gets stuck to yet- but even if you haven't- it ALWAYS goes down. It only shatters if you force it.

Much to learn, this one.

in this one, i sense strong forces.

pictures always give the imagination truth, and sometimes faulter it.
if i always do something and talk about it, i take pictures. im a picturaholic.

I have actually pulled both my rear windows out to replace the plastic wheel that rolls through the tracks. Im mechanically inclined and its a pain in the a$$. its not the easiest job to do. I would recommend you strip as much as possible...rear seats, real panels, 2 brackets and point that out to the dealer so he don't charge you for the time to do all that. i can't help you more then that without being there.

Did you mean the rear window or rear side windows? I got a extra rear window.

thanks guys, i appreciate it. i called the dealer today and he said they dont do it. so he pointed me to a guy, bob's refurbishing or something, he said he can do it for about 600+ dollars. my head is cooling and i'm starting to reconsider that quickest way out thing. 600+ is an obvious rip off.

so.. whats the cheaper option :>

edit: I meant the rear window that the convertible top has. the heated glass.

If I am right, aint that window glued in place. i bought an extra top and cut out my old glass window around the fabric. 600 is way to much! How much is the dealer charging for the glass?

i didn't ask, but i found this place.

http://www.convertibletopguys.com/cgi-loca...cat.cgi?cat=668
500 bucks for the glass and the top.

that 600+ was just for the glass+installation.
