I just got my front splitters and hiro rear extentions from ChrisC. I was going to get some stock skirts, but was thinking... what if i just had my vert skirts painted the same color when i got my splitters and extentions done? They are not as nice as the stock sides, but im tired of looking for stock skirts and dont want to pay $200+ for them.

What do you all think of this idea?? It would save me the time to look for stockers as well as save me $200 at least. For those who dont know, the vert skirts are these black plastic things that came on all vert models. Do you think there would be any problem for a shop to paint them to match?

Here is a photo shop of what it might look like:

Those shouldn't be a problem to paint. Are they urethane or ABS plastic or something else?

I think it looks good - not as good as OEM hatch sides but better than the two tone.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

are they approximately the same height as the hatch sides? it doesn't look bad but if the height is off it could look mismatched. the beauty of the combination of parts you have with the stock sideskirts is that they are perfectly matched, they look like they belong together because they do

My advice, is your car is too nice too have stock skirts. Look at the z-type skirts cyberbestbuy has. It will compliment your splitters. Personally I don't like the vader sides. I guess Im burned out on them.

i unno im thinkin about doin that now tongue.gif, take some plastic bonding spray paint and just take up the top side so no overspray and go for it, seems like a quick easy way to make it look a 100x's better or at least for me b/c my black skirts are kinda fadin.

Are you sure they are fading? You might want to try some wax remover or armoral to see if they brighten up....
