How bout the Carpenters....na just messin wit ya. It depends on the
situation. If I'm in a traffic jam I'll stick on RnB to knock those stress
levels down. If I'm on an open road I'll fire up Prodigy's "Firestarter".
If pops is in the car I take it easy on him and run the radio low level,
makes for an easier journey..

DJ Shadow, Crystal Method, Sasha & Digweed, Orbital, Paul van Dyk, Swayzak, Aphex Twin, etc etc etc... basically, anything with a fast beat for spirited driving, and ambient music for cruising.

In terms of songs, I created a small list:

Open road:
Metallica - I Disappear
Ram Jam - Black Betty
Boston - Long Time
Nelly - Ride Wit Me
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child
Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way
Prodigy - Baby's Got a Temper
Crystal Method - Name of the Game

Partying Hardy in the 6th Gen:
Fatboy Slim - Going Out of My Head
Smash Mouth - Walking on the Sun
Kid Rock - Forever
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground
Fatboy Slim - Magic Carpet Ride (remix)
Beatnuts - No Escapin' This
Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg - Ditty Dum Ditty Doo
Jurassic 5 - Quality Control or A Day at the Races
Paul Oakenfield - Ready, Steady, Go

Stoplight, City Driving:
Cadallic Tah - Pov City Anthem
Nate Dogg - I Got Love
Tank / Ja Rule - Race Against Time part 2
Eve ft Gwen Stefani - Let Me Blow Your Mind
Eve - Ryde Away
2pac, Dr Dre - California Love

Nightime/Early Morning:
JFK - Whiplash
Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now
Lo Fidelty Allstars - Battleflag
Slum Village - Get Dis Money
Ludacris & Nate Dogg - Area Codes
Tinstar - Sunshine
Dirty Vegas - I Should Know
Rank 1 - Airwave

Best road song you can dig? I'd have to go with Mirwais - Disco Science --if your subs and speakers can handle it! It's the song from Snatch where the dogs are chasing each other.

And best in rain is probably JFK - Whiplash.

Anyone care to dispute/add?
