well right now in minnesota its about 0 out and there is lots of road salt on the ground, and it gets messy. I went to hit my washer jets for the wipers and nothing sprayed out so im like damn im out of fluid... went to the gas station, got some, filled it up, get in, same thing... so im confused, get home and think that mabey the jets froze up somehow... pour hot water over them, nothing again... so i shut the car off and listen for pump noise when i hit the washer button... nothing (the wipers still swipe)... i think my pump is shot, or mabey its damn cold out and its a fluke anybody have this happen to them? if the pump is shot how much is that going to cost me to have it fixed?

Yeah, it's not just the ejectors that spray; you've got a whole setup. Although it goes under the hood- so it should stay warm pretty good..

The washer fluid is in the front of the car, behind the right fender, it has no way of getting warm especially while driving. The liquid is frozen, it'll work when it warms up a bit.

the washer fluid around here is only good till -5. Your fluid is just frozen. Pull your car into the garage and get a hair dryer pointed directly on the washerfluid inlet. Then when its thawed, drain it all by just letting it spray on the window. Go buy some better fluid. The best bet you have.

Theres this stuff thats red, its like fire or something along those lines, supposedly melts ice on your windshield, perhaps that has better resiliance to freezing. I think im going to try it in my suv. -------------------- |
