No it doesn't. The only difference in the sport package is the struts.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Sport package has different rear springs (Toyota, not TRD), different shocks (just valved differently), and different lateral rods in the rear (not sure how they differ, but I am guessing it is the bushing material at the ends, like maybe poly vs. rubber or something).

Also, alloy wheels .5 wider than the steelies, leather steering wheel (not sure what the deal is with this, since my GT without the Sport Package has a leather steering wheel), and different boltering for the seats.

I hadn't heard that the brake pads were different.

for Marketing reasons the idea of package like Subaru (Prodrive) sounds interesting....and people should feel more safe that the upgrades are directly from factory:)

The rear sway bar was also part of the package in 94/95 (part no for rear sport suspension sway bar for 94-95 is same as stock part no for 96-99 GT rear all -US and Canada models, newer models being stiffer i believe)...

Not that this matters much but the Leather steering wheel also looks different than the bone-stock version. The leather one is less bulky and more of a concave triangle in the center airbag part - the stock one is boxy shaped.
Didn't those of us with the sport package also get the side skirts? Or did I get them on my '99 cause it's newer than my previous '95?

No I think the sideskirst were just optional. My 97 has the sports package but regretfully no side skirts. I wish it did though!! Seems like all the 99 Celi's had side skirts...at least all the ones I've seen have them...I could be wrong though.

I'm told but could be wrong that the '99 being the last year and actually produced in '98 and held over were all maxed out. A friend at Toyota told me this but he's been wrong before.

not true at all, more 99 celicas were produced and sold then in 1998... and the triangular sterring wheel is eqquipped on ALL 98 up celicas... and yes sideskirts were standard equippment on 1999 celicas.

Mine also has the sport package, it included the 15x7 alloys with the polished face instead of painted. does anyone have a list of what all was included in this package?

And while I am thinking of it, what RPM are your cars turning at 80 mph? mine is turning about 4100 rpm at 82 mph, seems awfully high, I'm wondering if the sport package also had different gearing?

I have a 95 gt hatch

Sun roof
Leather seats and steering wheel
cd/radio/tape
8 speaker system (additional 4" between tweeter and lower speaker, which are 8" not the 6.5 with spacer)
3 pt strut bar in front
Chrome rims alloys. (look like stock alloys but chromed)
and from what ive been told a diffrent suspension set up (struts or springs forget which one)

No skirts or fog lights however strangly tho i do have the screws for fogs on the bumber but not fogs perhaps they were taken off or stolen from the previous owner.

as for diffrent gear raito i duno about that but if its true then that would be nice.

I have a '99 GT with sports package. My car is also at 4K RPM's at 80MPH (7K @ 133MPH is maxed out at the rev limiter) and this is different than some of the other GT's. I know because some of the other cars in my car club and I did some testing (driving at the same speed same gear and comparing the difference). It seems to utilize the torque from the engine better than the ones that have the more road trip oriented gears - takes off from a start better. They also have a higher topspeed it seems but none of them were willing to test it out so I can't be sure.
I have factory:
5 spoke Alloys (machined face)
ABS
Fogs
Skirts
Leather Triangle Shaped steering wheel
Different leather seats
All leather dashboard and doors (instead of vinyl or plastic like some models got)
CD only no tape deck
6speaker system (And I thought only the verts got the 8 speaker system. WTF?)
and TRD short shifter (this was added on at the dealership though and I have the invoice too)
No strut tower brace (although I added one from the junkyard as my first "mod"- apparently the '98+ didn't get them cause housewifes thought they were too bumpy)
Probably more but I can't remember
