Eibach Sportlines springs and KYB GR-2 struts. Is that a good combo. Ive searched and gotten mixed reviews.

I dont want to drop my car to much but i want it to be noticable. Ill be running on stock 15" and stock size tires. I want to get ride of the wheel gap but not so much that it will look funny with the 15"s if you know what i mean. If you dont, well some cars just look wack with stock/small rims and wheels and too large of a drop.

I also want the spring rate to provide a comfortable ride as it is my daily driver. I dont expect n e thing near stock but not something super drastic.

i have looked at the sticky thread and found it useful but would like some input from you guys.

Ive also been thinking about those drop zones on ebay but dont know how they compare with the eibach. I would assume the sportlines are way better in ride quality and spring rate, but im not sure.

Springs i understand fairly well but im confused on shock/struts as to which ones i can use with what kind of drop with out a worry.

If you think my set up is the wrong one/idea then please post ur input as to what would do better.

I was thinking about coilovers too so if anyone wants to lead me in that direction do so, but tell me why. What do coilovers do better then springs other then the adjustablilty as i dont plan on adjusting it at all and find it an option that would be annoying and unnesasary.

Ok the noob is dun. Much thanks in advanced.

well the kyb gr-2's are probibly the best struts you can get for our cars without going to a tein coilover kit, and eibach springs are also very good, you'll be happy with that setup no doubt.

Coilovers can get you far lower then springs ever can (safely) and they can be just as good, or better really depending on what brand, (ground control and tein probibly being the best, in my opinion, although GC's are just the springs and sleaves where the teim coilovers are the real deal.) however cheap coilovers are most likey gana give you a very bad ride. I can really only say one thing, I'm happy with my coilovers (vaos xr2) but you really gata do your homework on the topic.

For what you said your looking for, your set up will give just that, and there good brands as far as I know.

Well creis, there are the Koni Yellows, but those are pricey, and stiff. I have the Sportlines with GR-2s and I like the setup a lot. smile.gif

You might want to check out my post "Installed New Springs and Struts - Minimal Drop" before you take the plunge. Eibach supposedly makes the TRD springs. But I'm not sure if the TRD springs are more like the Pro-Kit or Sportline springs, or maybe somewhere in between. Like I said in my post, I don't know if the problem is due to the struts or springs. I do have to tell you that the ride is much stiffer (aka bumpier) than before. Not bouncey, just rough. Just thought I'd give you my two cents.

Good luck!
