my car wont run at all it turns over but wont start. the engine is flooding itself every time i turn the key its got gas and its got spark but it wont start. iv changed the things that toyota has told me to....egr valve, spark plugs and wires, fuel regulator, idle control sensor, but it just wont run, the check engine light does not come on so i cant run diagnostics. can any body help me, i love my car but i need something to drive. let me know. spke719.

p.s. i can tell it is flooding because of the strong gas smell coming from the engine and out of the intake if u can help me or know some 1 who can leave a message or email me at "spke719@aol.com"

another thing is that when i take the spark plugs out they are soaked with gas???
the car also run rich all the time is there a reason for that????
i still cant figure any thing out with this car...... confused.gif mad.gif

1/9/05...well i found out that my car is not getting spark changed the coil, ignitor, some sensors but still no luck on fixin it. dont know what else to change, help me out. some1 said that i had a coil that was attached to the firewall. but there are two types of 5s-fe engines and mine is an internal coil inside the distributor only 4 plug wires, unless u get after market and it comes with 6 wires. some 1 help me out, cuz if i cant fix it, then i think this cars gotta go, cuz i need a ride so i can get to work, go out .

This isn't going to help, but is it your local toyota dealer who has changed all these parts? Becuase I would be pissed if I spent all this money changing all these parts, and the thing doens't start?

Is there any feel in your gas pedal? The butter fly valve may be stuck open in your throttle body. Spray some brake cleaner in there and let it dry. See what happens.
