happens to me it sucks, but i think its an axel issue not a brake i think CV

Your CV Joints could be completely out of grease and grinding or your backing plate for your brakes could be gringing against your rotor something along those lines is what I think. The CV Axles are not that hard to replace but they get stuck so it might take a little convincing with mister BFH

Yeah I did notice a little leakage inside by the joint. Would that require replacing the unit? Or grease her up and shes ready to go?
Don't think its brake related. I lubed up all the appropriate parts last time I swapped the pads, so it should be all good. -------------------- |

The grease keeps all of the ball bearings in there from grinding together and causing bad things to happen. You should replace the whole unit, but if you want to be brave you could rebuild it and repack the joints with grease but its much easier to just buy a new one, plus it will probably last longer if you just shell out the money to buy new ones.

don't rebuild tahts a bizzle nitch....since i work at advanced auto i'm goin to just buy a new axel and see if that works

when mine was making the noise it was only when turning the wheel and only one direction. It was a bad CV joint. Which I believe I got the CV shaft w/ trading the core for 40 something and me and my dad changed it out. Not to bad to do.

What exactly happens when cv joints go out? my friend's car makes that "grinding" clacking noise when she makes sharp right turns, and I know its her CV's but I dont know what happens exactly when they do that?

is bearings so whenit loses grease the metal bearings grind with more friction

Probably CV Joints....could be wheel bearings though also. Check your CV boots on the half shafts and see if they are busted open.

i got my cv boots and joints replaced, but it makes the same sound..its the grinding from the top hat of the coilover to ur stock top hat...u would need to get a kit from www.evilspeed.com

Well since I got the bearings fixed, it doesn't make any sound when driving. It does let out a little cry when I pull out of my parking spot, but nothing major, just a little creaking.
